fault line sutures. buildings to slide in and out. interchangeable sections of the building mass created by the earthquake plane. the sections that slide out to span the fault line are static. the units that remain in the earthquake plane are dynamic.
city sutures. flexible shell that connects to the existing city. using the existing structure by building over, in, or grounded on. this is the framework for exchangeable units, which move/vibrate with the earthquake.
[these images show how buildings are like sutures which address the fault line as a wound]. the buildings must also have connections with the city [a suture connection as well, following a linear path such as the earthquake plane].
